It’s a real, firm cash offer — online or in person — valid for up to 14 days. Once we verify that your car’s condition, use and history match the information you provided, you exchange your keys for payment in full. Some offers are adjusted after that verification.

We look at your vehicle’s year, make, model, kilometres and features; its condition and history (your answers, our own assessment and third-party history reports); and current Canadian market conditions and recent sales. We pay particular attention to major issues like frame, flood or hail damage, and dents. In some cases we may test drive the vehicle to check its mechanical condition.

Long-term maintenance matters more than cleanliness. And keep in mind that an asking price isn’t a selling price — we’ll walk you through how we arrived at your number when we speak with you.

We give you a strong, market-based offer up front. When our team contacts you, you can talk it through — additional details about the vehicle can move the offer up or down.

Of course. Our office is open Monday to Friday, 10am–5pm, and weekends by appointment — just contact us to book a weekend visit. We use the same appraisal criteria online and in person, and we only adjust an online offer if the car’s condition, use or history differs from what we were told.

No. Selling to CARME never requires buying anything. We do sell quality used vehicles too (see our inventory), but your offer comes with no obligation either way.

Yes — we want to make it as easy as possible, so most sales happen with pickup at your home or workplace. Depending on distance or other circumstances, we may occasionally ask you to bring the vehicle to us; we’ll sort that out with you when we get in touch.

Not on weekdays — our office is open Monday to Friday, 10am–5pm. Weekends are by appointment. We share our location with another business, so when you arrive, just ask for CARME Auto. Email, text and calls are answered any time, and you can always start your offer online first.

Two options: direct deposit (your bank posts it within 12–72 hours) or an on-demand cheque issued the same or next day. All transactions are fully insured and OMVIC compliant.

Yes. We allow up to 1,000 km of variance without affecting your offer. If you go over that, let us know — the difference could change the offer.

Yes. CARME pays off the loan and deducts it from your offer. Loan payouts take 10–30 business days to process, depending on the lender.

We charge a $299 lien/loan handling fee, deducted from the offer, because many lenders add extra steps and time to the deal. If the loan balance is more than the offer, you’ll need to cover the difference — ask your rep about the options available to you.

No. As a licensed Ontario dealer, CARME obtains the Used Vehicle Information Package (UVIP) itself and handles the ownership transfer and paperwork for you.
