Can I sell my vehicle to CARME without buying a vehicle?

Of course! That is what we offer, we do not offer vehicles for consumer resale.

Is the offer an estimate or a real offer?

We provide real offers, both online and in-store, and they are valid for up-to 14 days. Once we verify that your car's condition, use, and history matches the information you provided about your car, you will exchange your keys for payment in full. Some offers are adjusted after the verification process.

Can I negotiate the offer?

Yes, we provide a strong offer on this platform - but there is many things that can change it up or down.

I am not techy, can I get an offer in person?

Of course! We can discuss your vehicle in person, by appointment, just contact us and we can set that up. Note: You can get an updated offer online anytime. We use the same appraisal criteria online and in-store, and verify every car's condition in person when an online offer is redeemed. We only adjust online offers if a car's condition, use, or history differs from the information we received.

Will you pick up my vehicle?

Yes! We want to make it as easy as possible on you, sometimes due to distance or other reasons, you may need to bring the vehicle to us.

Do I need an appointment to sell my vehicle?

Due to the nature of our model, it would be better if you did. We have one location currently - soon we hope to open more. That location is shared, should you attend the location make sure to annouce that you are there for CARME.

How do you determine the offer - I can see what they are selling for?

We analyze your vehicles's specific year, make, model, kms, and features. We consider its condition, history, and use the information you provide, our own assessments, and additional third-party history information. We especially look out for major issues, like frame or flood/hail damage or bumps/dents. We also consider market conditions and sales performance. In some cases, we may need to test drive your vehicle to check on certain mechanical conditions. The long-term maintenance and value of your vehicle is more important than cleanliness for an appraisal or a verification. Additionally, its key to understand we are not purchasing the vehicle for personal use, nor will be reselling it the general public. That means we can not pay retail to make a deal, you should also know just because someone is asking something for their vehicle does not mean it will sell for that. We will explain everything when we speak with you.

Can I still drive my vehicle while this process is on-going?

Yes, we allow up to a 1,000 kms variance in kms without impacting your offer. If you exceed this amount let us know or we will see it when we see the vehicle, the difference could impact the offer.

My loan is still active, will you paid it off?

If you have a loan on the vehicle that you're selling, CARME will pay off the loan and deduct it from the value of our offer. Loans can take anywhere between 10-30 business days to be processed, depending on the lender. In the event that you have a lien and/or loan on the vehicle you are selling to us, we do charge a $299 fee to handle that. Why? Many lenders have hoops you need to jump through - adding unwanted time on our end to the deal. So, we charge that fee and deduct it from the offer. Also, if you have a lien on the vehicle and the offer we present is less, you will need to cover the difference. There maybe options available to you, as the rep when you are speaking with them.
